MTEC has created Focused Indicator Training (FIT) plans for teacher professional development. The FIT plans are a training tool that can be implemented at the district, school, and team level. Each FIT plan focuses on a specific indicator of a district’s teacher effectiveness rubric and utilizes video classroom observations to illustrate varying levels of performance on a given indicator or element.
This FIT plan training is on Differentiated Instruction and explores four key elements of differentiated instruction and offers practical research-based strategies for each element.
The goal of this workshop is for participants to:
Know the definition and elements of differentiated instruction
Understand that there are motivating and cognitively engaging instructional strategies that support each element of differentiated instruction
Define and recognize differentiated instruction
Learn instructional strategies for differentiated instruction that can be applied in educational contexts
